I thought I had escaped the Frozen madness and then my niece turned three. Her birthday party was this weekend and it was all about purple! One of the snacks that was there was Purple Party Mix! I threw it together last minute so don’t judge my photos! Haha
This party mix calls for Pillsbury Funfetti Purple Frosting. I’ve never worked with this stuff. It tasted awesome tho and was super easy to work with! It kind of had somewhat of a marshmallow fluff texture to it before being heated. If you’ve never used it I would definitely recommend it for any kind of dessert that you make for a child’s birthday!
Non stick cooking spray
4 cups crisp rice cereal(I used Life but you can also use Chex)
2 cups Cheerios
2 cups pretzel sticks
1 cup cocktail peanuts(I used unsalted)
1 cup M&Ms
1/3 cup white baking chips
1. Coat 2 baking sheets with non stick cooking spray. Combine cereals, pretzels, peanuts, and M&Ms in a large bowl.
2. Place frosting and baking chips in a microwave safe bowl and melts or 30 seconds. Stir until smooth.
3. Pour frosting mixture over cereal mixture and stir until coated.
4. Spread out in baking sheets and let cool one hour. Break apart any large chunks.
And here’s the finished product!
